| New Business Concepts to Retain and Strengthen the Value Creation of Companies Surveys have shown that enterprises that have their own development department have a 40% higher value growth per employee than other enterprises. On the other hand, smaller businesses do not have the same possibilities for housing a larger R&D department. This is why it is important to break down the barriers between companies and research institutes and create a closer dialogue. Increased competition requires that new knowledge and research results are implemented quickly in new products. Research institutes and companies must convert new knowledge to business concepts that retain and strengthen the companies' value creation. Obvious topics for closer cooperation are ICT, RFID, robot technology, automation and surface technology, the use of nanotechnology, nurtigenomics, biotechnology, technology that puts less strain on the climate and the environment and new, thinner and lighter packaging with integral properties. However, development of new technologies is not the sole point of the agenda. The use of known technology in a different way could help companies differentiating themselves from the competition and increase the creation of value in the enterprise. |
