Flexibility, efficiency and process monitoring

Both the foodstuff and pharmaceutical industries are facing considerable global challenges with increased competition from low-income countries and owner requirements regarding cost reduction and increased earnings.

In addition to this, there is price pressure from larger chains, changes in consumer patterns, as well as customer demand for quality products that are safe and comply with environmental and health requirements, in unison with the entire value chain.

The solution to these complex issues is flexibility, efficiency and process monitoring. Flexibility in, say, when converting packing machinery, as the differentiation of products that are identical, or nearly identical, often happens during the packing process with various private labels. Streamlining by increasing investment in hygienic design, automation and robot technology. This will ensure that savings are made during the cleaning phase, a faster and more stable manufacturing process and uniform products.

Process Monitoring

Constant monitoring and being in control of manufacturing will ensure savings in the long run. Everybody is aware of the costs of having to recall a batch of goods, in addition to the negative consequences in the form of loss of revenue and negative publicity.

Process monitoring using sensor systems will increase quality and product safety, and ensure optimal utilization of machinery at the lowest possible cost. In order to support the topic of "Efficient Production" a process line will be established at the fair in cooperation with the exhibitors.
